Vintage Inspired Brooch & Crystal Bouquets

It was in the middle of a wedding fair when a florist showed me my first brooch bouquet and I fell in love! However since the fair, the florist has disappeared and I can't seem to get hold of them. So after many google searches to find someone affordable who was able to make these lovely pieces of art, I found my saviour!

Natalie from L.O.V.E Bouquets started making her own crystal and brooch bouquets for her own wedding last June, and with an art degree on her side it looks like Natalie is already an expert! The picture above is a perfect bridal bouquet for a winter wedding!

But it's not only the bride that can have something special. This flower girl wand is gorgeous! Something that a young flower girl will enjoy carrying around and not want to put down!

And Natalie also makes buttonholes, like this one.

So for now I don't know what my choice will be! At the moment my idea is to have a floral bouquet for me with some brooch elements and to give my love bridesmaids a brooch and crystal bouquet. I love the idea of giving this as their gift, as I know it it something both of my ladies will enjoy keeping and treasuring!

The story so far...

After being together for three and a half years, Rob finally asked me to marry him. We were on holiday in the Lanzorote, and at the end of our first day, we walked down to the beach where Rob got down on one knee.

It would be an understatement to say I had been looking forward to the proposal, the planning, and being married to Rob.

The next two weeks of our holiday were somewhat frustrating! I wanted to start planning straight away and began hunting wedding magazines in the foreign shops. What we did manage to do was our guest list, a provisional one anyway, and set a rough date of April, May 2012.

We got back to Gatwick something after midnight and were greeted by family with a balloon and a Mr & Mrs Kedge (2B) sign. I then rushed into WH Smith and purchased every wedding magazine I could find and went home content!

First post!

Hello and welcome to my first post on my first blog!

I have been thinking about starting this for quite a while now, and the snow has made it happen!

On here I will mostly be talking cake and weddings! I am getting married on Friday 18th May 2012 and intend to plan my heart out in the meantime!
